Welcome to Knight Hacks! Get ready for an in-depth (but not too long!) look at this exciting annual hackathon.
Knight Hacks brings together hundreds of hackers, developers, and innovators for a thrilling 36-hour coding marathon. It's a weekend-long event, usually held in Florida, attracting over 700 participants!
Participants work on a wide range of projects – from websites and apps to games and even hardware projects. There are workshops, networking sessions, and plenty of opportunities to collaborate and learn.
Let's talk about mentorship and the amazing prizes up for grabs!
Experienced professionals offer mentorship, guiding participants and providing valuable insights. And the prizes? They're incredible!
This year, over $15,000 in prizes are available, including a PlayStation 5, a 4K Smart TV, Meta Quest 3s, and more! Sponsors like BNY Mellon and NextEra Energy also offer bounties for specific projects.
So you've built something amazing. Now, how do you submit your project?
All projects must be submitted on DevPost with a linked GitHub repository. The deadline is 10 AM for GitHub commits, and 11 AM for DevPost updates.
Judges assess projects based on originality, complexity, functionality, design, and potential impact. It's a comprehensive evaluation process.
